Information in English
Welcome to De Jutters
Special service for English-speaking youth and their parents
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to take the first step towards treatment at De Jutters. How does it work?
Once you, your family or referrer has asked us to see you, you will be asked to have an initial chat with an English-speaking therapist. This chat is to help us to get a clear idea of what your needs are. This therapist will make sure that what you discuss is properly transferred to the colleagues by whom you will be treated, so they have a clear understanding of what your problems are. The actual treatment will also be in English.
For what complaints can you come to us?
Do you feel down? Do you have trouble concentrating in school? Or do you have problems at home or with your friends? De Jutters treats children and young people with symptoms such as depression, anxiety, behavioural problems or personality disorders. We are specialised in child and adolescent psychiatry. We also work closely with hospitals, general practitioners, schools, Centres for Youth and Family, the municipality and other youth care and mental health institutions. So you can get the right help for you near the place where you live.
How can we best help you?
We always make a customised personal treatment plan. Because you are one of a kind, and this is our best way to help you. Our specialist team is ready for you to work together with you to get a grip on your problems. Treatment may consist of conversations, different types of therapy, medication or training. You can receive this treatment in a group with other peers or individually.
Our treatments are based on scientific research and years of practical experience of our therapists with children and young people, so that we can always give you the best care. You are the one who directs your treatment; we take care of the quality.
This is De Jutters for you:
- Quality: our treatments are based on scientific research
- Customised care: everyone has a personalised treatment plan
- The family is also involved: so that things at home get steadily better
- As much as possible from home: because that is nicest for you
- Directed towards the future: to lead a life that is as normal as possible

Our staff speaks Dutch. Would your family like to speak with an English-speaking therapist during the initial chat? If you indicate that straightaway when you apply, then we can take this into account. If you are registering via the website, this can be indicated under ‘Aanvullende informatie' (additional information).
